2024 to 2025 PTA Membership

What is the PTA?

PTA stands for "Parent Teacher Association" and the White Oaks PTA is a part of the National PTA, which is a nonprofit organization committed to helping our children and schools succeed through meaningful engagement with families and communities.

The PTA is an organization made up of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all our students. We support school staff, help promote students' social and emotional wellness, provide community for our families, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and funding.

Our primary objective as a PTA is to provide White Oaks with funds, resources and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child at our school. Here are a few of the programs that we sponsor and/or support: After School Clubs, Bingo Night, Book Fairs, Field Day, Guest Speakers, Multicultural Night, Reflections Art Competition, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Events throughout the year, Veterans' Breakfast, Watch DOGS and more. We also help fund scholarships for our students to attend after school clubs and field trips!

What Does the Membership Fee Cover?

Your dues pay for our PTA’s annual costs to be part of local, state and national organizations and to maintain our legal status. It also provides a small percentage of the funds that pay for annual activities and enhancements to White Oaks, such as our Zoom and movie screening licenses. All donations are tax-deductible, as the White Oaks PTA is a 501(c)(3) charity. Membership allows you to vote at meetings. All board members and committee chairs must have a current membership.

More Membership Benefits

Beyond the obvious benefits to our school, PTA members also receive discounts through the National PTA website for companies like Hertz, LifeLock, AARP, MetLife, Quicken Loans, Good Housekeeping, Tea Collection Clothing, and more. See the full list here.
